BASE MENT (AL) – 04 Stuck In Indiana

Took a small rental car down in Newark
Went from New Jersey straight west to PA
Arrived in Reading at night, a solar farm to the right,
Had a beer at the bar before I felt tired
Went on to the town where the Steelers are around,
as well the Pirates and the Penguins
Things have changed I could see at the three river place
it’s been a while since I last went there

I mean, so far, ok, but was there something maybe unusual on your trip as well? I mean, maybe, something unexpected?

Planes stay on the ground, you’re lost but may be found,
had to find a place I could go

Oh, ok, I see, but I didn’t want you to stop, please go on, what else happened during your trip? Where else did you go and what else did you see? Tell me.

Well on my through PA, listen to what I say, I was driving the Old-Lincoln-Highway,
And the car that I had, had a problem getting up the Blue Mountains, very ugly,
Once I got to Latrobe, I mean there was some hope, that the car could really make it,
When I arrived, sick and tired, a home made burger made me recharging myself again

A burger, huh? And the car wasn’t that powerful, was it? But what was that Idiana and storm thing again? I didn’t catch that.

Ah, ok, can you give me some more details on that one? Sounds weird somehow. What was the part of that story about? Come on, tell me…

The other day on my way to Indiana again, I had a quite long ride through Ohio,
Thunderstorm showing up, tons of raining drops, I couldn’t see six foot ahead,
So the cars had to stop, waiting ’til it past by, and it did after a while,
Had a connecting flight back to Europe at night but that was cancelled, what a surprise

Oh, oh, that doesn’t sound funny. When they cancel a flight when you have another connecting one. Now I got it!
